"The Assembly of different lectures on all Sunday and holidays, on three parts divided" metropolitan of Gabriel, published in 1775 and 1776, was without fail read in extraction on churches.
... "Gabriel, metropolitan St.-Petersburg, was born in 1730, studied in Slavonic-greek-latin academy. In the Ekaterina's commissions of drawing up of laws it was the deputy from clergy of all Russia and at opening sessions spoke speech. As the ecclesiast, Gabriel is not allocated with especial talent: its speeches (number nearby 20) are too florid. Under Ekaterina's order II under edition of Gabriel there was "an Assembly of different lectures on all Sunday and holidays " (SPb., 1775, and Moscow 1776; from this collection sermons on churches were read necessarily." ...
