The Passion
is the theological term used for the suffering--physical, spiritual, and mental--of
Jesus in the hours prior to and including his trial and execution by crucifixion.
The Crucifixion is an event central to Christian beliefs.
And Especially passionate Sedmicy devout christians spent days of quadragesima
not only in a pray, but also in reading spiritual books. The book "the

This collection more known under the name narrates "Passion
(Christianity)" about last days mortal life IIsusa
of the Christ, His crucifixion, Anastasis and a convergence in a hell. In
the book the especial place is occupied with episodes almost not touched in
canonical gospels.
The cycle
"Passion (Christianity)" took the big place
in the Russian hand-written literature, in spiritual verses. There was a tradition
of the general house reading of "Passion
(Christianity)" on Passionate sedmice quadragesima. In
Russia in XVII-XVIII centuries of "Passion" repeatedly corresponded
and were often decorated with miniatures or the pasted engravings (L.Bunin,
A.Gochemskogo, etc.).
In cyrillic editions of old believe printing houses of boundary XVIII-XIX
of centuries (in Lvov, Pochaeve, Suprasle and other places) this book takes
an essential place.
